Naturalization Ceremony

​On September 11th Patriot's Day the Fort Harrison Chapter of the Son's of the American Revolution participated in a Naturalization Ceremony at the United States District Court in Harrisonburg VA.  where forty-five immigrants from thirty separate countries became United States Citizens. Past President Tom Petit presented each new citizen with a scroll of the Star-Spangled Banner and welcomed many as U.S. Citizens in their native language. He was assisted by President Ros Poplar. After the ceremony a moment of silence was observed for the victims of 9/11 - a truly moving ceremony conducted on the day we lost many Americans to the scourge terrorism twenty-four years ago.
